A Canadian writer of horror and speculative fiction, I reside in southern Alberta with my lovely wife. Many of my stories take place within Canadian settings that stretch from coast to coast across this great nation. Although this genre requires subtly altered, or at times even thoroughly broken realities, I endeavor to ensure my work stays grounded in geographic, scientific and historical realism whenever possible.

In an earlier life and prior to my entry into writing; I enjoyed enjoyed a full and satisfying career as a police officer with the Calgary Police Service, retiring as a detective/sergeant. Experiencing interesting and often unusual situations and  people, have proved invaluable aids to my writing.

My greatest passions are of course, my sons and many grandchildren. I also enjoy playing guitar, singing, and songwriting.
